Devil Lake feels huge, not just because of the water but because of the sky. There’s nothing crowding it—just wide-open space stretching forever. During the day, the sky is this massive blue dome, with big, beautiful clouds rolling through like slow-moving brushstrokes. Sometimes they’re bright and crisp against the blue, other times they build up, heavy and dramatic, casting shadows over the lake.
